Dr. Amin Ghafooripour founded the Padir Consulting Engineers after leading the engineering courses at Basis Independent Silicon Valley in California, structural engineering courses at Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh/Dubai-UK), and I. Azad University where he held several academic and managerial positions, such as Head of Department, Dean of Research, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Assistant Professor at the Universities.
He was the CEO of the Pars Padir Inc.(1994-2011). He registered the “Padir Consulting Engineers” a structural engineering firm under the law of the State of California in San Jose since 2016.
His academic and professional projects have taken him to 23 different countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Japan and have earned him nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, researching, and engineering design in the United Kingdom, Netherland, Norway, Denmark, Iran, and UAE.
He is an accomplished proactive engineer with combined international experience in Structural Engineering for Buildings, Offshore oil platforms, Bridges and Industrial projects. His academic background has given him the knowledge of theories to unlock the irregular structural problems.
Dr. Ghafooripour is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC), Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC), Structural Engineering Institute (SEI), and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), Amin is also an ORCID registered researcher.
His hard-work and dedication have earned him several awards and certifications for his professional design works and academic management from US, UK, Netherland, Denmark, Norway, and Iran. He has been awarded for Excellent Academic Management and Researcher of the Year has patented four inventions and published over 70 papers.
