Assessment of Offshore structure (2000-2002)
Description: Ambient Vibration Tests used for 3 Jacket type offshore platforms in the deepest sector of the Persian Gulf. Co-operation was made between International Institute of Earthquake engineering and Seismology (IIEES), Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), Islamic Azad University, (IAU) and consulting engineers. Researchers conducted on Vibration based damage detection methods and system identification of steel offshore platforms in the Persian Gulf. The Ph.D. thesis of Amin Ghafooripour was prepared based on this project. Finally, this research was led for inventing the underwater inspection method for offshore structures, and it was registered.
