Reinforced Soil in Yadegar Highway(1996-2001)
Description: Yadegar Imam highway was divided into five parts, and each part was designed by consulting engineers. 5 kilometers of highway was designed by consulting engineers (between Eyvanak and Eassar streets). This part consists of 3 bridges (Sarve, Poonak Bakhtari, and Eyvanak), three interchanges and one intersection, shallow water drainage system, lighting, geometrical and pavement design of highway and retaining structures. The project is one of the most important ones in Tehran city, and the features were published in journals. Also the president of Iran inaugurated the highway in 2001. Reinforced soil had designed by Amin Ghafooripour and checked by Dr. Behnia (Professor at Tehran University). Also Constructed by Khak Mosallah Iran Company with some modifications. This was used instead of the abutment and retaining walls in Poonak Bakhtiari bridge.
